The Bionicon Shredmobile will be down at North Of the Border Bicycles in San Diego on Saturday, November 14, 2009. We’ll have a fleet of demo bikes available for test rides, along with other manufacturers. There’s a group ride planned at 8:00 a.m., and you’ll need to call ahead to reserve a bike. For all those who have generously offered their support and asked what they could do to help us get over the fire, we’ll be hosting a busy-bee work weekend.
Bionicon has the keys to the new office and shop location at 21 Sierra Drive, Kernville, and we’re busy gathering materials, furniture and preparing inventory orders. We’re excited about the move to Kernville!
The work-days are Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22, from 8 in the morning until about 5 in the afternoon. We’ll host a barbecue on Saturday night, and will have beer on tap from our neighbors, just a few doors up the road, the Kern River Brewing Company. It should be a really fun weekend.
To sweeten the deal, anyone who comes out and puts in at least one day over the weekend will be eligible for a 10% discount on parts and services at the shop throughout the 2010 calendar year (excluding sale and clearance items).
If you have tools for sheetrocking, carpentry, or any other things we may need, please bring them. We’ll be doing some demolition work (moving walls and doors, removing restaurant equipment), sheetrock, paint, electrical and some plumbing work. We’ll be building warehouse shelf storage and counters.

BIONICON Bicycles has relocated its headquarters and is opening a Demo Center in Wofford Heights, California in the beautiful Kern River Valley, a paradise of outdoor sports. Boasting world-class trail riding, water sports, climbing, camping and a brewery with one of the best IPA’s anywhere!
The Bionicon Demo Center will be open to the public beginning Labor Day weekend with free demos to all. Everyone is invited to come test ride a Bionicon on some of the most scenic and fun trails in California. Please call ahead to reserve a bike, (760) 376-8600. If you have never ridden in the Kern River Valley it is time to come see what it is all about. The best riding seasons are from mid September through early November and May through early summer. The riding is also great year round, great trails and dirt (especially after rain) in the lower elevations all winter long and cool Sequoia forest riding in the high country when it’s too hot in the valley.

Bionicon promotes the 21st Annual Keyesville Classic Race as a fundraiser for trail stewardship.
Ridgecrest, California – January 9, 2009 - Title Sponsor Bionicon Bicycles is now promoting and directing the Keyesville Classic in partnership with Southern Sierra Fat Tire Association (SSFTA) of Bakersfield, CA who has operated the event for the last 20 years. The SSFTA has done an incredible job with the Keyesville Classic throughout the years and at one point it was the largest race in the Western US. Bionicon will now carry on the tradition of this fun and exciting event with the vision of bringing the Keyesville Classic back into the spotlight and create a fundraiser that will generate contributions for trail stewardship programs in the local area and Southern California.
CORBA’s Annual Fat Tire Fest is set for October 12, 2008.Bionicon is proud to support the ongoing advocacy work of CORBA, the Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists Assocation. Bionicon will be at the Fat Tire Fest, and will have a fleet of demo bikes available for test rides.
This is a family event with rides for everyone from beginner to experts. Win prizes in the legendary raffle, the poker ride, wheelie contest, hill-climb contest, log pull, or the silent auction.
CORBA, the Concerned Off-Road Bicyclist Association, an all volunteer-run non-profit, has been instrumental in gaining and maintaining access to Southern California trails for mountain bikers. This is their annual fundraising event, the proceeds of which go to fund their trailbuilding crew, their ongoing advocacy work and fight for new trails.
The Fat Tire Fest will be held October 12, 2008 at Castaic Lake.

Bionicon will again host the a BBQ at the Kern Valley Gathering, October 24 – 26, 2008.
Last year’s event was such a great success and we’re excited to be a part of it again this year. Keyesville is known for the Keyesville Classic course, Just Outstanding and Cannell trail.
The Gathering is an informal event with free camping at Keyesville, or you can stay in local hotels or forest service campgrounds. We’re suggesting a ride schedule, but participants are welcome to set their own itinerary, and we’ll be glad to recommend trails. Some of the must-ride trails are:

We’ll be out with the great folks at All Pro Bicycles on Tapo Street in Simi Valley. Come check out the latest in mountain bikes that can do it all! We’ll be there from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and you’ll be able to take out the bikes on the trails you know and love, to give them a real head-to-head comparison with what you’re riding now. Please bring your pedals and helmet.

Exit 118 Freeway at Kuehner off ramp.
If on 118E (i.e – having passed through most of Simi Valley) turn
right at end of off ramp. If on 118W and you’ve just come down the
hill into Simi turn left at the end of the off ramp.
Drive about a quarter mile south on Kuehner to a 3 way Stop. Go
straight across and through the next 2 lights before starting
slightly uphill to third light. (Another quarter mile or so)
Turn left onto Smith Road and follow it a quarter mile to the parking
lot in Corriganville Regional Park.
